Welcome to the Stepping Stone Cabins, near Mt Rainier!
The Stepping Stone Cabins consist of The Totem with room for up to 6 guests, and The Tahoma a romantic cottage for up to two guests. Both cabins share a .87 acre semi-secluded wooded parcel on Tenas Creek, with trails and walking bridges across the creek and are located just 1/2 mile before the Nisqually Entrance to Mt Rainier National Park.
The Totem Cabin ~ 1 bedroom unit:
Rustic on the outside but beautiful on the inside! This cabin was built in 1915 but the interior of the cabin was remodeled in 2005 with beautifully custom finished 1 x 12 pine floors, ceilings, and walls. This fabulous one bedroom with NEW Log queen bed, 3/4 bath cabin has additional sleeping available in the living room on two futons that make down into full size beds. Comfortable sleeping for up to 6 guests. Enjoy the gorgeous stone fireplace with wood stove (firewood provided), updated fully stocked kitchen with newer full size stainless fridge, newer gas range, custom breakfast bar with 6 stools, dining nook for seating up to 4, and newly updated bathroom with oversize shower. The large open floor plan in the living room has plenty of room for board games, dancing, etc. Tranquil Tenas Creek rambles through the front of the property and a covered gazebo with deck chairs & BBQ is located right beside it. Fantastic place for a picnic beside this babbling brook watching for deer meandering through for their morning and evening drinks! Covered parking, gazebo, BBQ, small deck, marshmellow roasting pit, deck chairs, TV/DVD/VCR with selection of movies, small stereo with CD & cassette player, board games, books, table ware & service for 6, all linens, microwave, belgian waffle iron, coffee maker, tea kettle, pots & pans, hair dryer, pellets & starter, plus complimentary coffee, assorted teas, hot cider, cocoa, popcorn, shampoo, conditioner, and soaps complete the amenities. The Tahoma Cabin ~ studio unit:
Don't let the rustic exterior of this cottage fool you as it hides a beautifully remodeled interior with gorgeous finished 1 x 12 pine floors, walls, & ceilings with log beams! Cozy up to the beautiful stone fireplace & wood stove! Tucked away in the trees, this adorable cottage is a studio unit with 3/4 bath and perfect for a romantic get-a-way for up to two guests. From the luxurious cozy NEW queen bed view the wood fire in the romantic stone fireplace or out the large picture window view peaceful Tenas Creek rambling through the pristine timbered lot. In the evergreen scented outdoors, enjoy a BBQ from deck chairs overlooking the stream and fabulous forest of cedar & fir. The amenities for your use also include cozy breakfast table with stools, a TV/DVD/VCR with assorted movies, small fridge, microwave, waffle iron, coffee pot, service for two, all linens for two guests, hair dryer, firewood & starter, plus complimentary cocoa, coffee, assorted teas, hot cider, popcorn, shampoo, conditioner, and soaps. **All three of our cabins listed above are available for rent individually but also available for rent two or three together for larger groups at a discounted rate depending on availability. The Totem & The Tahoma are located on and share the same .87 acre parcel and surrounded by evergreen trees. The Cornerstone is located across Tenas Creek & across the street but less than a block away, with evergreen trees some of which are old growth timber. Both properties are fairly secluded from other properties, are set back off of Highway 706, are apart from other neighbors, but across a street from each other and within walking distance. We have had several groups book these cabins for family reunions as they are close enough for larger groups to gather together in.
